Citrix

If you ask a Citrix sales specialist what Citrix is, the answer is, "any device, any application, any time, anywhere." Want to run Windows 7 on your iPhone? No problem.

It's a tall order to fill. Citrix makes good on its claims by offering a wide assortment of products that work together to provide a dynamic data, application, network, server, and desktop management system that provides more power and flexibility than companies have ever had.

Due to the exponentially increasing number of telecommuters and the introduction of devices like iPad and GalaxyS, Prism has chosen to partner with Citrix to help customers who want to enable their workforce while reducing costs and speeding responsiveness. HP

Hewlett-Packard is one of the most diverse IT manufacturers in the world. Their product portfolio includes personal computers, printers, copiers, servers, mainframes, storage, networking, enterprise software and even calculators. HP was formed in 1947 and has a long, stable history. In 2002 they acquired Compaq, incorporating their extremely successful lines of reliable, versatile business servers and desktops.

HP's network division, Procurve, is now the second best-selling brand of switches on the market and cost roughly 1/3rd less than the market leader. Procurve switches carry the unique distinction of having a Lifetime Warranty that includes tech support. With the recent acquisition of 3COM, HP's networking portfolio has rounded out to include products at every network layer and for every size business.

Microsoft

The name Microsoft is almost synonymous with IT. It's rare to find a company that doesn't use Microsoft software. Microsoft offers software products in almost every category from the familiar Windows operating system and Office application suite to their enterprise accounting and ERP systems branded under the Dynamics name. Higher and higher demands for stability, reliability and uptime have been key driving factors in Microsoft's latest data center offerings including SQL Server - now a fierce rival to Oracle's previously untouched hold on databases, Exchange Server - which set new standards in groupware and communications, and Windows Server now boasts uptime statistics that remind us of Unix.

Cisco

As Microsoft is to software, Cisco is to networks. But Cisco is more than just networks now. Cisco has expanded their portfolio to include voice and video communications technology, storage networking, a huge host of security products, and recently, they've created their own line of servers targeted at the virtualization market. While Cisco products come at a premium price, you will not find a higher standard of quality or reliability.

Netgear

Netgear is not one of the first companies that come to mind for business technology, but after working with their products for a couple of years now, we've gained an appreciation for its potential in small businesses. Netgear switches are nearly as robust as their counterparts in HP and Cisco but are roughly half the cost. They have also entered the market recently with some strong offerings in network security and managed wireless networking. Probably the most exciting offering from Netgear are their entry-level storage products. Acquired from Infrant in 2007, the ReadyNAS storage systems offer advanced storage capabilities at an affordable price point.

Sonicwall

In recent years, Sonicwall has emerged as one of the industry's strongest players in the network security market. In 2010 Gartner recognized Sonicwall as a leader in Unified Threat Management for small and medium (up to 1000 employees) business. Our customers enjoy a rich set of network protection features combined with versatile configuration options and detailed, useful reporting.

Symantec

When the name Symantec is mentioned, people most often think of anti-virus software. Over the last few years, Symantec has acquired a number of companies, industry leaders in their fields, to create the industry's most comprehensive data protection solution. In addition to anti-virus, Symantec offers backup, encryption, email protection, data loss prevention and SSL certificate services... just to name a few.

AppAssure

The AppAssure team of engineers set out in 2006 to reinvent the backup process. Traditional backups took whole copies of data nightly or weekly or some combination thereof. These backups take a long time to restore - even for a single file. As companies have become more reliant on their data, the backup windows have gotten smaller and the idea of re-entering a day's work is more daunting. The AppAssure backup system combats these difficulties with a new strategy they call Backup2.0. Very small, low-impact backups are taken frequently throughout the day. These backups are compressed and run through a deduplication engine which makes them very small. Since the backups are stored first on hard disk, recovery can be as simple as the drag and drop of a file.

ActiveXperts

We came across ActiveXperts in our search for a simple, robust and inexpensive network monitoring system. The ActiveXperts monitor is able to understand complex environments like Microsoft Exchange by performing a number of tests to determine if the environment is truly up. The alerting capabilities are similarly robust with support for email, SMS and pagers.
